Leaf-tastic!!!

I love leaves. I love fall. I especially love leaves in the fall.

I spent Columbus Day weekend at home in Alfred, NY and the foliage was spectacular. Of course, the perfectly blue sky, 75 degree weather, and constant sunshine which simultaneously occur in Alfred in October about once every 462 years also helped. It was de-light-ful, de-li-cious, de-love-ly [must be sung - if you did not sing those words, go back and sing 'em baby!]

But here is my question for thought: Suppose that the default status of leaves was a mixture of colors (red, orange, yellow, etc.) and then they all turned green just before the leaves fell off. Would we still be awed and amazed? Would people book expensive weekend getaways in the Berkshires to stare at all the greenness? Tell me what you think.
