Danger, danger!

Of the following three tourist attractions on the National Mall, which do you think has the highest security?

A) The Museum of Natural History
B) The National Botanical Gardens
C) The National Gallery of Art

Answer: B

That's right, apparently the government is more concerned that I might be trying to blow up a palm tree than a Picasso or a T-rex skeleton. Because boy, it really would cause a stir if that garden blew up - can't replace those precious one-of-a-kind fern plants!

Security at the Museum of Natural History and the National Gallery of Art consists of a tired employee poking around your bag with a dowel. That's it. But to get into the Botanical Gardens?? Oh, that requires putting everything including your cell phone through an x-ray machine and passing through a metal detector.

I saw an old woman with a walker get wanded and frisked before they let her view the southwest cactus display. Yeah, she sure looked like she was going to blow that baby up Old West style "bang, BANG!" I was lucky I got out when I did!

I'm pretty much sure that soon we won't be able to do anything with the slightest security risk. I can't eevn imagine flying in an airplane right now. Did you hear about some British airports putting the crackdown on BOOKS? What, in the name of all that's holy, could be dangerous about a book?

It sounds like you had more hassle going into the gardens than we do getting into Canada. That makes sense...right?

i think you should steal a picasso, JUST to show them that they should be a little more concerned about the art. then pick a flower so they know they should be a little LESS concerned about the goddamn plants. (oh and then give me the picasso.... because you'll probably want to get rid of it, so... hey!! perfect)
